Membership applications in three categories can be submitted by private or municipal organizers, organizations, partners or sponsors of Christmas markets if they meet the EECM's quality standards. Acceptance is based on an assessment of the information and documents on the market submitted with the membership application; the quality code was drawn up by the EECCM Code Advisory Board. If the response is positive, the member can use the "Excellent European Christmas Markets" label. After three years, an evaluation of the quality requirements is carried out. As a member, you gain access to a unique European network, and your credibility and authority in the industry, in the media and in the public eye is increased.

Through your membership, you strengthen the voice of the EECM in discussions, decision-making processes and statements in which the common concerns and positions of the organizers are represented and their concerns are presented in a bundled manner. The high traffic on the EECM web portals as well as marketing campaigns and good standing in media work increases the reach and visibility of the member markets.

EECM supporting members and sponsors have the opportunity to participate in exclusive events and thus gain access to network with potential customers or business partners.

Excellent Christmas markets make a significant contribution to tourism development in the pre-Christmas season. The EECM will communicate with travel providers, tourism organizations and journalists that the new label that distinguishes our markets stands for high standards in organization, offerings and customer experience.
